Support the Residents of Lakeview

Housing Committee

A proposed new development, Hanover Apartments on Weaver Dairy Road, will displace 120 low-income residents who live in the Lakeview Mobile Home Park. The Chapel Hill-Carrboro NAACP is calling on the Chapel Hill Town Council to help these residents so that they are not displaced from Chapel Hill. Please join us in solidarity with the residents of Lakeview by wearing your yellow NAACP t-shirt (or black t-shirt if you don't have an NAACP shirt) at the Chapel Hill Town Council Meeting this Wednesday January 24th. The Town Council meeting starts at 7pm at the Chapel Hill Town Hall (405 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.) Email housing5689@gmail.com with questions, or to find more ways that you can support this effort.
