Orange County DSS is collecting non-perishable food items at two locations to support those in the community impacted by COVID-19.
Need has increased with kids being out of school and families losing income as businesses close or reduce hours. Donations of food or money can be made directly to DSS, which will remain open throughout the crisis to serve families in need. Drop-off donations can be made at our two locations: Southern Human Services Center 2501 Homestead Rd Chapel Hill, NC 27514 Orange County DSS 113 Mayo Street Hillsborough, NC 27278 Make checks out to Orange County DSS with Food Drive in the memo line. Mailing address is Orange County DSS, PO Box 8181, Hillsborough, NC 27278. Online donations can be made through the Community Giving Fund.
